Eula
CryoClaymoreMain DamageTL;DR
Eula's Burst hangs a giant sword over her head that charges up as she attacks, then falls after 7 seconds and does all the damage in one go. Everything before that is set up: tap the Skill for a stack, Burst, hold the Skill to spend the stacks and cut the enemy's resistance, then swing until the sword drops. Her damage is Physical, not Cryo.
Rotation
- Tap Skill (E) once. She picks up a stack.
- Burst (Q). The sword appears above her, the Skill cooldown resets and she gains a second stack.
- Hold Skill (E) straight away. It spends both stacks, cuts the enemy's Physical and Cryo resistance for 7 seconds and throws out an extra sword hit.
- Normal Attack for the next 7 seconds. Every hit that lands charges the sword.
- Stay on the field until it falls. Swapping away detonates it early.
Abilities
| Skill (E), tapped | 4 second cooldown. A quick Cryo slash that banks a stack, two at most, lasting 18 seconds. The stacks give her some Defence and make her harder to interrupt while she holds them. |
|---|---|
| Skill (E), held | 10 second cooldown. Spends every stack for a Cryo hit that drops the enemy's Physical and Cryo resistance for 7 seconds. Spending two stacks also drops a small extra sword on them. |
| Burst (Q) | 80 Energy, back in 20 seconds. Creates the sword, which follows her for up to 7 seconds and then lands for Physical damage. Casting it resets the Skill cooldown and hands her a stack. |
| Normal Attacks | A five hit claymore string, Physical. This is what charges the sword. It's the reason she stands on the field for the whole window. |
The one mechanic to understand
The Burst is a bill you pay later.
Casting the Burst deals almost nothing. The sword above her head gains a charge from every hit she lands with her attacks, Skill or Burst. Its final explosion is sized by how many charges it collected. So the 7 seconds after you press it are the character: hit as many times as you can, then let it land. Leave the field and it detonates on the spot with whatever it has, which is how most people lose half her damage.
What actually matters
The two or three real decisions. Everything else is noise.
- Her damage is Physical. A Cryo damage goblet is a wasted slot. Everything worth having goes on Physical damage and Crit.
- Energy Recharge, plenty of it. 80 Energy on a character who does nothing without her Burst. Around 150% with another Cryo character in the team, more if she's alone.
- The resistance cut lines up with the sword. Both last 7 seconds, which is why the hold comes immediately after the Burst rather than at the start.
Gear
A build that works. KeqingMains lists every other option.
| Weapon | Physical damage and Crit. Snow-Tombed Starsilver is craftable from Dragonspine ore and its whole passive is Physical damage. |
|---|---|
| Artifacts | 4-piece Pale Flame. Physical damage on the two-piece, then Attack stacks from her Skill hits, which she presses twice a rotation. |
| Main stats | Attack sands, Physical damage goblet, Crit circlet. Take an Energy Recharge sands instead if the Burst isn't ready every rotation. |
Works well with
Cryo
ElectroElectro is the useful one, since Superconduct with her Cryo cuts Physical resistance on top of what her own Skill does. A second Cryo character is mostly there to fix her Energy.
Don't bother
- Cryo damage stats. The big number at the end is Physical.
- Holding the Skill on no stacks. Tap first, always.
- Charged Attacks. They drain 40 stamina a second and charge the sword no faster.
- Swapping off early to fit a teammate in. The sword goes off unfinished.
