Faruzan
AnemoBowSupportTL;DR
Faruzan exists to make an Anemo character hit harder. Her Burst hands the party an Anemo damage bonus and cuts the enemy's Anemo resistance. Her Skill plus one charged shot adds a second helping of the resistance cut. Burst, Skill, aimed shot, swap to your Anemo carry. She needs a mountain of Energy Recharge.
Rotation
- Burst (Q) first. The polyhedron starts moving and its first pulse hands the party the Anemo damage bonus.
- Skill (E), then hold a Charged Attack and fire. It charges much faster than normal.
- The arrow leaves a delay then a vortex, which pulls enemies in and cuts their Anemo resistance.
- Swap to your Anemo character for the rest of the window.
- Come back for the Burst every 20 seconds.
Abilities
| Skill (E) | 6 second cooldown. Anemo damage around her, then she's armed for 18 seconds: her next fully charged shot becomes a wind arrow that charges 60% faster than usual. |
|---|---|
| That arrow | Wherever it lands, a moment later a vortex forms that deals Anemo damage, drags enemies together and cuts their Anemo resistance. It works on the ground too if you miss. |
| Burst (Q) | 80 Energy, back in 20 seconds. A polyhedron that travels a triangular path for 12 seconds, pulsing at each corner. Every pulse cuts nearby enemies' Anemo resistance and gives the party an Anemo damage bonus, both for 4 seconds. |
The one mechanic to understand
The buff is in pulses, not a blanket.
Her Burst doesn't buff the party for a solid 12 seconds. It pulses when it's cast and again at each corner of the triangle it walks, with each pulse lasting only 4 seconds. There's nothing to do about the gaps beyond knowing they exist, so don't stand around waiting for a good moment. Get your Anemo character on the field and attacking. The pulses catch them where they land. On top of the bonus itself, anyone carrying it gets extra damage on their Anemo hits, calculated off Faruzan's Base Attack.
What actually matters
The two or three real decisions. Everything else is noise.
- Everything she gives is Anemo only. The damage bonus, the resistance cut and the extra hit all apply to Anemo damage. In a team without an Anemo carry she does nothing.
- Energy Recharge above all else. 80 Energy, few particles of her own, plus the whole buff lives in the Burst. North of 200% is normal, which is why her sands and her bow usually both carry it.
- Base Attack, not Attack percent. The bonus damage she adds is a share of her Base Attack, which comes from her weapon and her level. Attack percent on artifacts does nothing for it.
Gear
A build that works. KeqingMains lists every other option.
| Weapon | Energy Recharge, then the highest Base Attack you can get with it. Favonius Warbow is a standard banner 4-star that also coughs up extra particles for her. |
|---|---|
| Artifacts | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige. She casts her Burst every rotation, so the party Attack bonus is always up alongside her own buff. |
| Main stats | Energy Recharge sands, Attack goblet, Attack circlet. Take a Crit Rate circlet instead if her bow is a Favonius, which needs roughly 30% to fire reliably. |
Works well with
AnemoAnemo, only Anemo. Every number she hands out is attached to Anemo damage, so she's a specialist rather than a general support.
Don't bother
- Building her for damage. Crit and Attack percent do almost nothing here.
- Firing the arrow before pressing the Skill. Without the Skill it's an ordinary shot.
- Chasing the pulse timings. Let your carry attack and the pulses find them.
- Bringing her along without an Anemo character to buff.
