Mitya
ElectroCatalystMain DamageTL;DR
With Mitya in the party, Superconduct becomes Stellar-Conduct. Every Stellar-Conduct drops small beacons that follow whoever is on the field. Hold his Skill to put a device on the field, then hold Charged Attack to spend the beacons on big hits. None of it happens without a Cryo teammate putting Cryo on the enemies.
Rotation
- Cryo teammate first. Their Skill or Burst on the enemies, then swap to Mitya.
- Hold Skill (E). A floating device appears beside him.
- Burst (Q) if it's ready. Three beacons appear around him straight away, so you can skip to step 5.
- Normal Attack the enemies until beacons start appearing.
- Hold Charged Attack. He fires one blast per beacon until they run out. Back to step 4.
Abilities
| Charged Attack | While his held-Skill device is out and he has at least one beacon, the Charged Attack costs no Stamina. Holding it fires a blast for each beacon he spends. Each blast is Stellar-Conduct damage scaling off his Elemental Mastery. |
|---|---|
| Skill (E) | Electro damage plus a device that lasts 25 seconds, on an 18 second cooldown. Hold for the device that powers his Charged Attack. While it's out, each Stellar-Conduct keeps spawning beacons for 6 seconds instead of 3. Tap for the other device, covered below. Tapping again within 6 seconds swaps one for the other. |
| Burst (Q) | 60 Energy, 15 second cooldown. A big Electro hit that scales off Attack and Elemental Mastery, plus three beacons. |
| The beacons | Every Stellar-Conduct makes one every 1.5 seconds for 3 seconds. They follow your active character and last 10 seconds. He carries four at most. Each new one gives him 5% Crit Rate for 15 seconds, stacking four times. |
The one mechanic to understand
Hold the Skill when he stays on the field, tap it when he doesn't.
The two presses leave different devices. The held one only does anything while Mitya is the one on the field: it makes his Charged Attack free and turns each beacon into a blast. The tapped one works on its own. It follows enemies around zapping them. It also gives the whole party 30 Elemental Mastery for every beacon he's carrying. Once he's carrying four, it eats each new beacon for a Stellar-Conduct hit. When it expires it spends whatever he still has in one last hit. Play him on the field with the held version. If you'd rather keep someone else on the field, tap, Burst and swap instead.
What actually matters
- A Cryo teammate who applies it from off the field. Beacons only come from Stellar-Conduct, which needs Cryo on the enemy when his Electro lands.
- Elemental Mastery, then Crit. His blasts scale off Elemental Mastery. It also raises the base Stellar-Conduct damage of the whole party by up to 14%, which he reaches at 500.
- Spend the beacons before he hits four. With the held device out, any beacon made past four is wasted.
Gear
| Weapon | Elemental Mastery, as much as you can find. Sacrificial Fragments is a standard banner 4-star with the most of it. Mappa Mare is craftable if the wishes haven't handed you one. |
|---|---|
| Artifacts | 4-piece Gilded Dreams. It's more Elemental Mastery, which is what the blasts scale off. Two 2-piece sets that each add Elemental Mastery come out about the same. Wear whichever pieces roll best. A 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow you already own is close enough to keep. Don't farm it for him: its Attack half does nothing and the extra Crit Rate is hard to fit. |
| Sands | Goblet | Circlet | Substats |
|---|---|---|---|
| EM | EM | Crit | Crit / EM |
An Electro damage goblet does nothing for the Stellar-Conduct blasts, which are most of his damage. Around 130% Energy Recharge gets the Burst back every rotation with two other Electro characters in the team. With only one, plan on closer to 160%.
Works well with
Cryo is compulsory and off-field is best. A second Electro character triggers more Stellar-Conduct, which means more beacons.
Don't bother
- Flipping the device back and forth. Pick held or tapped at the start of the fight and leave it.
- Normal Attacks for damage. They're there to make Stellar-Conduct happen.
- Counting his Crit Rate stacks. New beacons keep refreshing them as long as you play the rotation.
- Running him without Cryo. No beacons means no blasts.
