Rosaria
CryoPolearmSupportTL;DR
Rosaria's Skill teleports her behind the enemy and that gives her Crit Rate. Her Burst then hands a slice of her Crit Rate to everyone else and leaves an ice lance in the ground poking things with Cryo for about 8 seconds. Skill first, Burst second, swap away. Get that order wrong and your team gets a smaller buff.
Rotation
- Press Skill (E). She blinks behind the target on her own.
- Press Burst (Q) straight after, while the Crit Rate from the Skill is still up.
- Swap out. The lance keeps hitting for about 8 seconds.
- Repeat when the burst comes back, roughly every 15 seconds.
Abilities
| Skill (E) | She warps behind the enemy and stabs them twice for Cryo damage. About a 6 second cooldown. Hitting from behind gives her 12% Crit Rate for 5 seconds, and that is the reason it goes first. It won't warp her behind very large enemies, and she still gets the Crit Rate. |
|---|---|
| Burst (Q) | A slash, then an ice lance planted in the ground that puffs out cold every couple of seconds for about 8 seconds. Costs 60 Energy, 15 second cooldown. Casting it is also what buffs the team. |
The one mechanic to understand
Her Crit Rate is the team's Crit Rate
When she casts her Burst, everyone else on the team gets Crit Rate equal to 15% of hers, for 10 seconds. It caps at 15%, so she'd need an absurd 100% Crit Rate to max it out and in practice you're handing your carry somewhere around 8 to 10%. Two things follow from that. Crit Rate on Rosaria is doing double duty, so it isn't wasted stats the way it is on most supports. And the 12% she gets from stabbing something in the back counts towards the total, which is why the Skill goes before the Burst and not after. She doesn't buff herself with it, only the others.
What actually matters
The two or three real decisions. Everything else is noise.
- Skill, then Burst. Always that way round. It's a free few percent of Crit Rate for your carry and it costs you nothing but pressing the buttons in order.
- Crit Rate is a support stat on her. Build it even if she never stays on the field long enough to use it herself.
- Energy Recharge, enough to burst every time. 60 Energy with a 6 second Skill is not demanding. Around 140% covers it in most teams.
Gear
A build that works. KeqingMains lists every other option.
| Weapon | Crit Rate, with Energy Recharge if you can get both. Deathmatch is the easy pick from Paimon's shop, and "The Catch" is free from fishing if you'd rather have the Energy. |
|---|---|
| Artifacts | 4-piece Noblesse Oblige. She presses her burst every rotation and the party gets 20% attack alongside the Crit Rate. |
| Main stats | Energy Recharge sands, Cryo goblet, Crit Rate circlet. The circlet is the one that matters here, since it feeds the team buff as well as her own hits. |
Works well with
Hydro
PyroThe Crit Rate buff doesn't care what element anyone is. Those two are just what her Cryo reacts with, freezing on Hydro or melting on Pyro.
Don't bother
- Building her physical. It was a thing years ago and it doesn't hold up against using her Cryo.
- Trying to line up the back stab yourself. The Skill does the moving for you.
- Leaving her on the field to attack. The lance is doing the work whether she's there or not.
- Chasing constellations for the buff. None of them touch it. C2 gives the lance 4 more seconds, and that's the only one you'll notice.
